A few years ago, Virginia Holdford Stultz and I (Frances Cook "Cookie" Cullom) took a probe with us when we visited the Joel Cullom Cemetery in Halifax Co. on the property that had previously belonged to William Cullum, Sr. Sure enough, we found a very large sunken fieldstone in line with the other stones - unfortunately unmarked. I personally believe that this was the stone marking the grave of William Cullum, Sr., but I don't guess we'll ever be able to prove it. Virginia and I raised this stone and left it in the exact same location.

William married Amy Hix, daughter of Robert Hix and Mary ?, about 1760.11 (Amy Hix was born Mar 7, 1741/42 in Albemarle Parish, Surry Co., VA 15 and died after 1775.)
William next married Sarah ? before 1790.12 (Sarah ? was born between 1760 and 1765 16 and died in 1832 in Halifax Co., NC 15.)
